Tuff show

1997 AQHA Gelding, Naturally Tuff, 'Tuff'

by Natural Resources x An Impressive Tuffy

Dbl registered 1997 AQHA/IBHA Gelding.  This handsome 16.1h, red dun comes with a pedigree packed with greats such as Natural Resources, The Investor, Tuffys Wonder, Tardy's Tuffy 1, Dynamite Joe Jack, and more.   Half brother to Zips Hidden Resource, AQHA Bayer Select Word Champion w/Teresa Fletcher and AQHA Youth World Champion, Ashley Aikman.   Tuff comes with tons of professional training in western pleasure, english, showmanship, trail.  With limited showing, daughter enjoyed novice am AQHA shows, and cleaned up at local 4H shows!  Tuff also won IBHA Congress World Champion prior to our ownership.  No doubt he could take some lucky 4H-er all the way!  Tuff is a very special horse.  He loves his stall quarters with pasture turn-out.  Does great in training program, but doesn't have to stay there.  He knows his job and enjoys doing it.  We brought him home and he has had time off for awhile to enjoy just being a horse.  When we pull him out of the stall or pasture to ride, it's like he's never missed a beat and knows exactly what to do and how to do it.  This guy is handsome, respectful, and definitely one of those needles in a haystack.  Current on all vaccinations, worming, teeth, feet.

Dixie

Miss N Cash x Hancock bred (missing papers, unavailable)

2003 Bay Roan grade mare (only due to missing papers).  If you like pretty and you like color, this girl is absolutely drop dead gorgeous.  This mare was well started early on and worked the ranch and feed lots.  A couple years sabbatical has put her training on pause, but she's got all the goods to pick up and make a super riding horse.  Team Penning, Ranch Sorting, Roping, Working Ranch Horse,  SHOT, and 4H are all prospective categories for this pretty mare.  Dixie is very sweet natured and bred to perform.  With bloodlines of leading AQHA cutting sire, Miss N Cash and the infamous Hancock this girl has it in her to go as far as you need her to.  This girl is bred to rock.  She has a great start and foundation, just needs a good partner to move forward with.  Presently green broke and will need a season of wet blankets to really get back in the swing of things and focused, but with her work ethic and willingness and desire to team up and try new things, this will be a pleasure.  Dixie is a natural horsemanship trainer's dream.  She responds great to the training methods used and taught by Clinton Anderson and Chris Cox, for example.  Super on the ground,  easy to handle, and very respectful.  Good with other horses.  UTD on all vaccinations, worming, coggins, teeth, feet.  Very easy keeper; natural barefoot trim - great feet.  Good stall kept, loves pasture turnout.  Feels a little better with a buddy since she's been a herd environment with other horses for a while.   There's a ton of potential wrapped up in this pretty package waiting to be brought out.

**note:  Dixie has a little bit of a weak left stifle.  A vet that has done extensive research and presentations on stifle issues looked at her and told me of a simple exercise of backing her up a 20 degree incline a short ways, 5 times/day that would strengthen the muscle groups around the area and keep her good to go.  When I have done this, she has been great.  Unfortunately, I have had too little time to stay on top of this for a while, so this exercise will need to be implemented into her daily routine to really keep her at her best.  However, she hauls around the pasture with absolutely no problem at all.
